Sustainable agriculture offers solutions that address the issues facing today’s farming systems ,such as profitability, environmental soundness, and benefits for people and communities.  This monthly meeting will provide a sharing of information and resources on topics chosen to reflect the interests and needs of agriculture and local food systems in the greater Sarasota area.  It will also be an opportunity for local producers and residents to learn of the projects at Crowley Cultural and Natural History Center that are demonstrating the concepts and principles of sustainable agriculture.”

Join us the third Thursday of each  month for updates on sustainable agriculture in our region. This month’s topic is Cracker Cattle and Management Intensive Grazing by our Sustainable Agriculture Director, Jeff Scarbrough. Thursday July 19, 2012 4 pm.
