Southwest Florida Heritage Festival

Travel back in time and experience the life of the Florida pioneers. Our educators demonstrate blacksmithing, sugar cane grinding, basket weaving, wood carving, quilting, and soap making skills from the 19th century. Storytellers, frontiersman, civil war re-enactors, and working cowboys will be on hand. See reptiles, birds, cracker cattle, antique steam engines, and go for a pony ride. A CALL TO ACTION

The Crowley Boardwalk Restoration Project is Underway For more than two decades, one of the main attractions at Crowley is its half mile long, scenic, wooden boardwalk. This trail has been the main hiking path that winds through portions of the pine flatwoods, oak hammock and over the Maple Branch Swamp and Tatum Sawgrass Marsh. The boardwalk guides you to the two-story, Selby Tower overlooking the marsh and the Myakka River.
