Crowley farm was started in the 1890’s by Jasper’s grandfather, John Crowley. Jasper and his father, James Jeremiah Crowley, were also farmers. Like his Grandmother, Sylvia Crowley, Jasper was a schoolteacher. He taught at the Old Miakka Schoolhouse from 1931 to 1944. He later became the Future Farmers of America, FFA instructor for Sarasota County.
Today, Crowley farm contains various heritage breed farm animals, a kitchen garden, a food forest, bee hives, and an organic muscadine grape vineyard.
